Amazing french fries, good orange chicken. Decent size for the price. 10/10 would eat again
Friendly service, hot food, arrived quickly, and generous delicious portions.
Food was good. Portion size was decent. Egg drop soup was rather thick. Like it has been in the fridge. And they over-power any plate veggies.
Food ok in a pinch. Restaurant is comfortable and staff are accommodating for the most part
Love the food and service
I love the food here the wait staff is only so nice. and the portions are more than generous
Nice service, good food. Tried the orange chicken and was worth it. You get plenty of food for the money.
Good, basic Chinese food (I think this is the only Chinese restaurant in Port Townsend). Not spicy enough for my taste, but many people would consider that a virtue. They have very good lunch specials though. I had the Triple delight with lots of vegetables hot and spicy five stars which was excellent!
Maybe they had an off night. 2 of 3 dishes had no taste (pork fried rice and shrimp).
Good food good veggie choices
Good food, service, inexpensive!
Good food and a great staff
Good Food great price Fast service
The chicken that they use for most of their dishes such as Orange Chicken, General Tso's Chicken,Sesame Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken etc. Is heavily breaded and is only skin and other junk meat. You will be lucky to find a chunk of meat in these dishes. I keep going back to see if it has gotten better but it doesn't. I dont know how they think it is good business practice by frying up chicken skin and passing it off as meat. I wish they would take pride in their food and make something they would want to eat.
Wonderful menu, excellent food, friendly people. My favorite date-night restaurant, hands down. I love the food here- and I haven't had a meal yet that wasn't fabulous!
Not very good or fresh. Service was good but overall a disappointment. Can't believe all the good reviews. People need to give honest reviews.
Food tasted great. Service was good and food came out quick. Their winter hours vary and when I was there in March they close at 830pm. I had the sweet and sour shrimp with fried rice.
Greasy greasy chicken & spring rolls! Dripping out of boxes
Excellent food.
Eat here. They have the best orange chicken and general toas is town. Their fried rice, no matter which you choose, will always be fantastic. Broccoli beef is great too. Give them a shot, they're worth a lunch visit.
The only Chinese restaurant I go to now in PT. If you have never tried their Sesame Beef, you are missing out.
Never even been near here
Good food and service, reasonable prices.
Golden Ocean is right by the water you can see the water from some of the windows inside butt as far as the food is concerned a lot of it is very good but being spoiled coming from Hawaii and having Chinese Cooks in Hawaii , I'm kind of spoiled as far as traditional Chinese food so anyways they have good food but I have had better.
Generous portions, nice view.
Decent food even though we arrived about 30 minutes before closing. Will return.
Great food and service, good prices.
Good service, good food, good prices.
Yummy! Try the Orange Beef, it's the best in the state. Restaurant dining area is just a little run down but NOT dirty or musty or anything like that. Wait staff are friendly and the food comes out quickly after you order. Not overpriced either, give these guys a shot, you just might be impressed.
Very good food lm.like beef brócoli
The Mongolian beef was really good
Great food! Excellent, quick service. I ordered Golden Lo Mein, added $2.00 extra veggies. It comes wiith beef, chicken, shrimp, cabbage, carrots, broccoli, snow peas, soft noodles. Husband had beef mongolian, onions, red pepper, white steamed rice, excellently cooked. Try it, you'll love it.
Good food, quick service. Very good sized portions, always left overs. Deep fried stuff is pretty standard. Anything you order with veggies is made fresh and tastes great. Also reheats very well!!
The Spring rolls were super oily and Beef lo-mein was bland. I would not order these items again. The hot and Sour soup was "alright" as per the wife. These items cost about $26.00 total after taxes.
Hot n sour soup yummy.
Meh. It's not the worst American Chinese food I've ever had.
Good food, good atmosphere, friendly staff
Yeah I was not happy with it. The pot stickers want that good it tasted mushy. And the Allman chicken was not what we expected. They did not Offer Tea.
A local friend brought us here on the promise of the best Orange Chicken ever! Well they came through on his promise! It was literally the best Orange Chicken I have ever had! We also ordered the Sesame Chicken and it was crispy and absolutely delicious! Another in our party ordered the pot stickers and those were also fantastic! The atmosphere is pleasent, everything is clean, the staff was friendly, and the service was quick! They also have Bubble Tea!!! Yummm! We will definitely be back!
We ordered shrimp in lobster sauce and triple delight and got a fried rice. It looks good but it is completely tasteless. This is the worst food we've had in a long time.
Food was super fresh and delicious will definitely be coming back again!
Food is well prepped and tasty. We had chicken with cashews, an order of potstickers, and the twice cooked pork. The portions were relatively large. We were there Christmas day, and they were one of the few restaurants in PT that was open. They were busy but attentive to their customers. The potstickers came quickly, but there was a little wait for the main dishes.
Needed some chinese food during my vacation. The place was empty, it was late. The food was real good .
Excellent food plus large portions
I have never had Walnut prawns that wet. Vegetables floating in water- I'm not sure if it was broth...burnt walnuts with dry deep fried prawns set on top, I think- had some trouble finding them in the take out box. The steamed rice was okay. The other $40 of food, not so much. The waitress was nice.
It seems as though we go here most times when we are in Port Townsend. We seem to make it in the last hour they are open. The service is always nice and the food always tasty. Some Chinese restaurants have every main dish drenched in heavy syrup. Not here.
The only thing that this place is missing is a sushi menu. Other than that it's pretty great
The soup was cold, we sent it back and the waitress told us that the warmer was broke. I told her that she was serving food at improper temperatures, she responded that it's just the warmer. She offered to microwave it, but we said no. Our entrees were served hot, the vegetables were good, but the chicken was awful.
Excellent Chinese! We got 2 combinations- one with egg foo yong and beef broccoli. Both great flavor and awesome portion with fried rice and sweet sour chicken/pork. Great meal for waiting for the ferry on stand by. Came out in about 10min. I was ready for non-American meal after weekend of pizza/burger/fish&chips. Thank you Golden Ocean Restaurant. My tummy is super happy!
This place serves great food. I love the enormous meal sizes and not bad prices. I'm not a big soup person so you will have to test the waters your self for a better review. I don't care much for the fried rice. Which is why I gave 4 instead of 5. Fried rices completed the meal for me. I would recommend this spot. It's great!
